OAT4 Transporter Assay (SLC22A11)

The OAT4 transporter is an organic anion uptake transporter that is encoded by the SLC22A11 gene. OAT4 is expressed primarily in the apical membrane in the kidney and can mediate re-absorption of substrates from the urine back into the kidney and potentially the blood stream.
