MRP2 Transporter Assay (ABCC2)

The MRP2 transporter is an efflux transporter that is encoded by the ABCC2 gene. MRP2 is also known as Multidrug resistance protein. MRP2 is highly expressed in the liver on the apical side of the bile canaliculus in hepatocytes. MRP2 serves to facilitate the biliary excretion of substrates.
